Ron Hose is a distinguished entrepreneur and tech investor renowned for his contributions to financial inclusion in the Philippines. In 2014, Ron founded Coins.ph with the mission to provide accessible financial services to the unbanked population through a mobile blockchain-enabled platform. Under his leadership, Coins.ph grew to serve over 10 million customers, facilitating remittances, bill payments, and online transactions. The platform’s success attracted major investors and led to its acquisition by Indonesian tech giant Go-Jek in 2019, marking the largest tech exit to date in the Philippines and one of the largest for the region. Before Coins.ph, Ron was a founding partner at Innovation Endeavors, an early-stage venture capital fund backed by Eric Schmidt, and co-founded TokBox, a video conferencing company backed by leading investors such as Sequoia Capital and Bain Capital before being acquired by Telefonica. He serves on the boards of 7-Eleven Philippines and previously UnionBank of the Philippines, further influencing the digital transformation in the region. Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Ron is an active angel investor and advisor, supporting numerous startups in Southeast Asia and serving on the board of Endeavor Philippines.
